Things that make you go Hmmmm....
I spend a lot of time with emotionally disturbed kids.
Sometimes they seem way more mature than quite a few of the adults in the world.
What does that say about us all?

I've met a lot of adults who clearly skipped a few steps in maturity. Perhaps some children seem more mature than some adults because adults just sort of take maturity for granted once they reach a certain age.

I means we're going to Hell in a handbasket. Who's holding the handle?

It says that some people reached their "peak maturity" far too early.

When I look back at the decisions I made as a child I am often amazed at the wisdom I demonstrated. Unfortunately I can't say the same about some of my adult decisions. I think it is because God knew I needed extra grace at the time. Now I am old enough, I should be able to handle it on my own. Not that I have actually shown that I can. But that is my theory.
Meanwhile, even if I don't always comment, I do ALWAYS enjoy reading your posts. You warm my heart and challenge me to be a better person through your own example. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us!

To me it says we are tied down by the labels society gives us - adult / child / adjusted / disturbed. In truth people are more fluid than their definitions.
ps - thanks for commenting on my 'playing god' post - you inspired me to look at things from the devils side too!
